Valentines sugar cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup 100g granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup 50g brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups 190g all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup pink red, and white sprinkles (for rolling)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (about 2 minutes).
  • Add Egg & Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla until fully combined.
  • Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll in Sprinkles: Scoop about 1 ½ tbsp of dough, roll into a ball, and coat in Valentine’s sprinkles.
  • Bake: Place on the baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are slightly soft.
  • Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
