Ingredients
- ½ cup 113g unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup 100g granulated sugar
- ¼ cup 50g brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 large egg
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups 190g all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup pink red, and white sprinkles (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream Butter & Sugars: In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy (about 2 minutes).
- Add Egg & Vanilla: Mix in the egg and vanilla until fully combined.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Roll in Sprinkles: Scoop about 1 ½ tbsp of dough, roll into a ball, and coat in Valentine’s sprinkles.
- Bake: Place on the baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake for 9-11 minutes, until the edges are set but the centers are slightly soft.
- Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
