Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup butter browned
  • ¾ cup 150g brown sugar
  • ½ cup 100g granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ cups 185g all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup chocolate chips or more if you like!

Instructions
 

Brown the butter

  • In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat,
  • stirring occasionally. Once it turns golden brown and smells nutty,
  • remove from heat and pour into a mixing bowl.
  • Let it cool for 5–10 minutes before using.

Mix in sugars

  • Add the brown sugar and granulated sugar to the brown butter.

Add wet ingredients

  • Stir in the vanilla extract and egg until smooth.

Scoop the dough

Bake
